Provider Information
Ten years ago, I worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at a Child
Development Center in the Bay Area. My experience there had such an impact on
me that I decided to follow in the footsteps of my grandmother who was a
devoted teacher and school principal. I spent the next ten years working full
time at a Community College and later at a State University while attending
college part time, slowly pursuing a teaching career. During this time, I had
gotten married and decided to put my pursuit on hold to start a family.
With all the daycares in our area, I didn’t think it would be
difficult to find quality care for my baby boy. When the time came to look for
a daycare, I called more than a dozen providers and found only one that met my
standards. Unfortunately, they had no openings. Since my initial goal was to
work with children, I took this opportunity to start my own Child Care and
Preschool. I offer parents what I would want for my own child, a clean, safe
place that offers high quality care where children can grow, learn and have
fun.

My Philosophy
All
children need individualized care and attention. They need to feel comfortable,
safe and secure. It is our responsibility as parents and caregivers to provide
that. It is our job to nourish their unique personalities, and meet their
individual needs. I believe it is important to instill good habits and values
from an early age. Teaching respect, politeness, and manners are just as
important as teaching them the alphabet. I believe in good education which is
why I offer a well developed preschool program that allow the children to
explore on their own and learn by “doing”. I also believe it is important for
children to have fun and enjoy being “just kids”.
Certification
I have
completed fifteen hours of required specialized health training. I have an
up-to-date certification in Adult, Child and Infant CPR and Pediatric First
Aid. I also have completed training in Preventative Health and Safety
Practices.
